After Studying with Mark Ashford and Simon Dinnigan she graduated with Honours from the Birmingham Conservatoire in 2003 having been awarded the Conservatoire Guitar Prize and the Rollason Music Award. She continued her postgraduate studies with Mark Ashford and in 2006 was awarded a Postgraduate in Music with Commendation.
Liz has participated in major guitar festivals in Europe and she is becoming a popular recitalist at music societies and festivals.
As well as a soloist, Liz is a passionate and versatile chamber musician. She performs across Europe in recitals with guitarist Gordon Dunn and in The Zollisi Flute & Guitar Duo with Royal Academy Graduate Flautist Anna Logan www.liz-larner.co.uk/zollisi.html. Liz is based in Birmingham. She teaches privately and tutors for Edgbaston High School for Girls, King Edwards High School for Girls (Birmingham) and is resident guitar tutor at The University of Warwick. She is currently a tutor for the renowned Bath International Festival.
