Ginette Eady studied the classical guitar from the age of seven and later under the tutelage of Graham Wade, author and Professor of Strings at Leeds College of Music. She went on to study at Birmingham Conservatoire of Music graduating with distinction in 1991. After a short spell doing a P.G.C.E. and teaching classroom music, Ginette was appointed by the Kirklees Music School to teach classical guitar, full time, in local schools and at Holme Valley Music Centre. A member of EGTA(UK) since it’s inception and has held the roles of editor of the EGTA(UK) Newsletter, 1998-2004 and conference organiser. She lives with her husband and young son in Holmfirth, ‘Last of the Summer Wine Country‘.
